DEFRA FISHERIES CONSULTATION PAPER
Hi everyone, I am posting a couple of links below regarding the ongoing fisheries management of the country following our departure from the European common fisheries policy.
Defra have issued a draft statement of their intentions and are calling on all interesed parties to respond by completing a survey. Responses must be completed by April 12th. As the document is 82 pages long a little time will be needed to cover this, but if we want things to improve then this is definitely one way we can push our concerns.
Recreational sea angling is slowly becoming recognised by the authorities as a stakeholder so the more sea anglers that respond to the survey the better our chances will be of having a positive effect on the overexploitation of our seas. Come on everyone lets make sea angling a voice to be heard.
